TRANSFER
DOMAIN NAME:To transfer a .nz domain name to us you will need to obtain the UDAI from the present registrar. send it to support@nzwebhosting4u.com and they will intiate the transfer for you. There is no charge to transfer a .nz domain name* To transfer an international (.com .net .info etc) domain name to us you will need to obtain the EPP Key from the present registrar. send it to support@nzwebhosting4u.com and they will intiate the transfer for you. these tranfers work on an email confirmation basic, so you will need to ensure that the admin contact is set to yours or one you can access. it also needs to be unlocked at the present registry. There is a $19.95 fee to transfer international names as our registrar will add a further year to it's registration. * If you order the free 10mb package there will be a $29.95 charge as a further year will be added to it's registration.
TRANSFER HOSTING:If you would prefer to leave the domain name at your present registrar and just have the hosting of it on our servers, you will need to change the nameservers over to ours at the present registry. Information on changing the nameservers can be found on our How To Modify Nameservers page. TO PREVENT DOWNTIME WHEN TRANSFERRING: Follow the steps below in order to prevent your existing site from going down whilst transferring: 1) Complete the order form so the hosting account can be created. 2) Upload your websites files to the new account, using the servers IP that will be sent to you. 3) Change the nameservers over to ours as above, nameservers can take from 1 - 12 hours to resolve, once delegation picks up on the domain name resolving to our nameservers the site will switch from viewing off your previous hosts servers to ours, with no downtime. NOTE: If you are unable to see the site from our servers after 12 hours of changing the nameservers you maybe cached at your end, clear your browsers cache, reset your router and reboot to force a refresh. |
